Earlier this week, I realized how often I have opportunities in which I am able to provide loving encouragement from His Word to those around me. I have also come to the realization that lately, my life has become so hectic that I’ve been stressing and worrying rather than leading by example and praying. One of my favorite scriptures [and a daily reminder because it’s printed on my favorite coffee mug!] is Philippians 4:6-7: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
What a beautiful reminder this provides us! God is so faithful in keeping His promises. In prayer, we praise God for His unconditional love and unending grace; we repent for everything known and unknown that may be separating ourselves from His presence; we then bring forth our request and ask God to take care of what we cannot; then we yield and allow God to take over control. With this, His peace surrounds us ♥
Just remember that God is in control. It is such a blessing when I remember this and am able to let go of some things that I’ve been desperately trying to keep under my control. When I come to the place of remembering that God has got me and my family and my finances and my everything in the palm of His hand, I’m overwhelmed with His peace and comfort.
I know that life gets hectic. I’m a wife and mom of two toddlers. I work 40+ hours a week. I’m finishing up with a Business Class that I’ve been taking since January. My husband and I volunteer and fundraise all year long to bring awareness to Type 1 Diabetes [T1D] and fund a cure. I myself, live every single day with T1D, trying to control what is happening inside my body [even though I may look totally normal on the outside]. We own a home and have many things to take care of on that front. The list continues. I get it. But looking at it all, I know this much: Put God First! Start your day in prayer rather than complaining and see the difference in how your day goes.
I pray that when you wake up in the morning, you start looking at each day as an opportunity and that you still have a purpose to fulfill! God has a calling on your life – if you don’t know what that is yet, pray about it! Ask Him to lead your path and be confident that every little thing is going to be alright ♥
Blessings to you all!
With love in Christ,
