Although the sun is not shining bright today, the Holy Spirit is with us. Today is a new day; today is a fresh start. Today I am choosing to let go of my fears and trust in God. This simple conscious effort has me smiling and although this choice isn’t always my first reaction, today it feels good to just let go and let God do. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Fear as a noun is an emotion; an emotion in which God did not instill in our spirits. Fear comes from the lack of faith and our inability to trust God completely. I once read that fear not or some form of not being afraid is written 365 times throughout the Bible – one for each day of the year; another report stated there are actually 366 findings because God didn’t forget about Leap Year! It would be pretty incredible if this were an accurate report (and maybe it is) but I feel as though fear not is written many more times than suggested.
No matter how many times fear not is written or suggested, honestly, it should only take God saying it once for us to fully trust in Him and the plans He has for us. God always provides a way, we’ve seen this time and time again so why do we continue to second guess Him? Why do we question whether He’ll continue to be with us? You’ve got to have the faith to go through the motions even when you see no evidence… You’ve gotta have faith to go down and pray again; to lift up your hands to worship and say ‘I don’t feel a thing right now but God is with me and He is for me, not against me’. [Triggered: Why I Went Off by Pastor Steven Furtick]
I encourage you to let go of any fear that you may be empowering and have faith that God is with you; that He is your strength and you are a conqueror in Him. He has a plan for your life and He won’t stop now♥

Thank You for loving me even in my brokenness. Forgive me of my sins; the known and unknown that keeps my heart from Yours. I ask that you fill me with Your strength and provide me the courage to walk out in faith rather than fear. In Your Heavenly Name, I pray – Amen.
With love in Christ,
