Just Let Loose & Dance

I’m sure you are aware that sometimes this life can be a bit hectic and we can get lost in all the crazy. You’ve got 40+ hours of work, kid’s sports schedules, grocery shopping, meal prepping, laundry, yard work, family and/or church obligations; the list can go on and on. STOP! Find your favorite song and play it right now. It’s time to let loose & dance!

I Just Need You – Toby Mac

Our little family had been getting pretty weighed down with the same routine stuck on repeat without any real quality time spent together (even though we were always together). We were getting way too uptight with one another; forgetting why we were all here together to begin with. We needed a change – we chose to let loose and dance! Our littles are 3.5 and almost 2, they LOVE music and boy, do they have some moves! Honestly, I wish I had a “Big Brother” feed to upload – we had so much fun. It’s SO important for families to take time to slow down and remember why they’re a family.

If we as parents are not careful to maintain and manage our stress (whether it be home, finances, work, etc…) our kids will pick up on and be effected by that stress. Even a mother’s worry about raising her kids the right way can be detrimental – now how counter-intuitive is that?! We worry about worrying! HA! I think this is precisely why Paul wrote in Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Be thankful. Remember to maintain a thankful heart even when your kids (or spouse) have you acting like a crazy person! Remember to trust in God’s plan for your life. And remember to be real, let loose and dance every now and again. It’s good for your heart, your mind, and your body!

Life Is A Highway – Rascal Flatts

Dear God,
I thank you for your unconditional love and your willingness to not only forgive our sin but to wash us clean and forget it. I pray that we find the peace that you offer us and allow ourselves to forgive ourselves. I pray that we choose to make the decision to do something different when things get too uptight. Teach us to let it go every once and a while and laugh. In your name, I pray – Amen.

From my family to yours and with love in Christ,
