You Have Nothing to Prove

Do you feel invisible? Do you feel less valued? It is often people who feel left out that are actually the ones that God has set apart for His special purpose❤

In fact, sometimes the more invisible something is, the more valuable it is. For example, you can live without your pinky; however, you cannot live without your liver because although it is invisible to you, it is more valuable to the function of your body. * 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 *

I understand that sometimes life doesn’t seem fair and if you feel alone, life can seem unbearable but maybe all you need is a new focus. What if all you had to do was widen your frame? (Watch Fix Your Focus by Pastor Steven Furtick – it’s a life changer). Listen, sometimes God has to put you on a shelf where no one sees you because He is saving you for something so significant. God didn’t promise that life would be easy BUT He did promise to always be with us. Take heart! You are worthy! You are valuable! And you have a purpose!

“It is the things that no one sees that produces the results that everyone wants”

Let’s go back to 1 Samuel 16. Currently ruling over Israel was King Saul. Saul’s heart had become hardened; he was no longer serving the Lord therefore God chose another to take over Saul’s reign. The Lord told Samuel to go to Bethlehem and find a man named Jesse for He had selected one of Jesse’s sons to become king. Now Jesse had 8 sons in total. God didn’t choose the strongest son, He didn’t choose the bravest; no, God chose the least expected of Jesse’s sons. God chose David, the youngest and smallest of all 8 sons, because of his heart. (By now, you may be remembering the well known story of David and Goliath?) It doesn’t matter what is on the outside, which is where the world always gets caught up; God is looking at your heart.

Keep this in mind, it’s not about what you can do on your own; it’s about what God can do through you! And remember, you have nothing to prove and only one to please❤

With love in Christ,

Bekah
